![]() ![]() My wife and I vacationed with our two kids at the Samba Vallarta in March. A bit of noise from the hotel next door but otherwise it was the perfect holiday! I was very happy with my stay and the staff at the Samba Vallarta. ![]() I was very happy with my stay and the wonderfully friendly atmosphere of the hotel, staff and fellow guests alike. It's walking distance to Bucerias, or you can take a cab and there's a bus which stops right at the hotel to go to Puerto vallarta. The staff are all phenomenal! Everyone there works very hard to give their guests a pleasant stay and they succeed! And I don't think I've ever seen anywhere as clean. I enjoyed the daily drink specials at the pool bar as well as the buffet which was, I think, more traditionally Mexican. The beach was beautiful with ample palapas and lounge chairs which was really nice. This is a small resort, definitely not a "party" atmosphere so suited me well as I don't care for the large hotels. The variety was great and the coffee was delicious. With young kids, we just stuck with the buffet. It was older, but everything worked fine and it was a good value for the money. The metal pieces that stick out from under the slide can hurt them. Kids need to be careful not to go under it (as a short cut) when trying to get back to the stairs. I do caution parents about the green slide on the pirate ship in the pool. The water was warm and the kids had so much fun. The beach and the pool were both wonderful. We also really appreciated the helpful advice from the concierge. Jose and Alex took excellent care of us at the buffet. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to be helpful to us. This resort is smaller, which we liked, and the service was excellent. This was my first time to an all inclusive and my first time in Mexico. My son (who works at an Italian restaurant) says the pasta was all overcooked.“Nice pool, beautiful beach with warm water, amazing staff!” Also, the fresh salsa and guacamole were superb. The Mexican a-la-carte restaurant was open and gave a beautiful view of the beach and the sunsets, and the pork tacos were awesome. My breakfasts were fruit (a huge variety). Many items at the buffet were made with dairy, so I avoided them. Or I used the fish or grilled chicken from the buffet to build tacos myself. I ate a lot of tacos, which I built myself at their taco bar at the buffet. Let them know if you have a dietary issue (I am allergic to dairy, so they brought in some soy milk for me, which a lady who arrived the day before I left was very happy to hear, as her whole family were dairy free). The nightly shows were great from Circus, to Magic, to Latin dance, to movie night. I took daily walks down the beach and hung out by the pool reading. The recreation staff, especially Nilson, are fantastic and really engage the teens. It is such a safe property, is small in relation to the others around it, and has a real family feel. He also spent lots of time in the water riding the waves on boogie boards, to playing poker, to eating with his new friends. If you have kids/teenagers, this is a great place to go! My son met up with other teens and had a great time doing all of the planned daily activities, from darts, to water polo, to volleyball, to playing soccer on their grass field, to table tennis, to a variety of games. ![]()
